Tony Gipson, PE LEED AP

Principal Electrical Engineer

Mr. Gipson has over 10 years experience in the design, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. This experience includes work with PLC, computer-based, and distributed control systems, as well as instrumentation and data acquisition systems. Mr. Gipson has also served as the lead engineer on many of these projects, coordinating many complex engineering and craft concerns in an often complex and dangerous environment.

Mr. Gipson has developed expertise in design and analysis of complex control and process systems. This experience is related to the testing of turbine engines and aerodynamic models in the test cell environment. In addition to these experiences, Mr. Gipson has experience in the design, set up and testing of control systems for automotive powertrain test facilities. Mr. Gipson has experience with project management, estimating, and scheduling. His experience in multi-tasking on complex projects in different geographical locations with varying levels of staff engineers and designers permits Mr. Gipson to effectively pursue complex design issues. Processing designs in the demanding automotive industry, working with complex motor/drive assemblies and control systems for multi-million dollar research and development efforts under the pressure of economic and marketing pressures has allowed him to develop long range vision capabilities in design, cost avoidance, and critical path management.

Mr. Gipson’s expertise and critical thinking processes that are unique to the commercial, industrial, institutional and educational arenas serve well in these dynamic environments and provide a sharply contrasted energy level in critical systems design.

Mr. Gipson serves as the Chief Electrical Engineer for Oliver Little Gipson Engineering, Inc. and is responsible for the technical content of all electrical designs produced by the firm.
