OLG provided the Mechanical and Plumbing design for when their operations relocated to Manchester, Tennessee. Services inlcuded design for plant and office HVAC and plant ventilation along with process piping.
Responsible for design of a new 60,000 square foot ink production plant, 10,000 square foot Administration/Lab facility and a Guard House for Newell Rubbermaid, makers of Sharpie pens.
The project HVAC design utilizes four large 100% outside air rooftop units and multiple package gas fired/DX cooling rooftop units with a total capacity of approximately 220 tons. Warehouse storage areas are heated utilizing unit heaters and ventilated with wall exhaust fans with interlocked wall louvers.
Plant included laying out large scrubber exhaust system including coordination with owner furnished equipment and hoods. Lab facility included installation of fume hoods with associated exhaust and makeup air.
A large part of this project was the process piping design. Design included de-ionized water, industrial water, potable water, compressed air, steam, steam condensate, solvents and chilled water. Tight coordination with owner representative was required to work through flow requirements and routing/termination of all the services.
Plumbing included hot and cold domestic water, sanitary waste and drain, and acid waste piping. Plumbing included a circulating tempered water emergency shower/eye wash system to feed multiple shower/eye wash units.
